Dr. Lars Heitmann has specialized in hair transplants since 2000.

A few years ago, Dr. Heitmann himself suffered from hair loss and underwent several hair transplants. However, the first experience was unsatisfactory and resulted in an unnatural appearance.

Based on these personal experiences, Dr. Heitmann subsequently devoted himself exclusively to hair surgery. He attaches great importance to naturalness and density, so that the results of a hair transplant are always aesthetically pleasing without being recognizable as such.

Dr. Lars Heitmann began his training in hair transplantation in 2000 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and Haarlem, Netherlands, at a private clinic specializing in hair transplants.

He has been performing FUE hair transplants since 2004. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as a senior physician at a clinic in Haarlem, Netherlands. In 2007, he opened his own practice, also specializing in hair transplants, in Lijnden, near Schiphol Airport/Amsterdam (NL).

In 2010, he received his license to practice medicine independently in the canton of Zurich and began working independently in his own private practice for minimally invasive hair surgery in the same year. Since then, he has been performing FUE hair transplants exclusively.

Dr. Lars Heitmann is known for performing FUE treatments himself. He personally carries out all essential surgical steps, from extracting the grafts to creating the recipient sites and inserting the grafts.

Dr. Lars Heitmann is not only considered an expert in the field of particularly natural and individual hair lines, but also an expert in corrective procedures (repairs) and so-called “dense packing” results. Dense packing involves a very dense arrangement of hairs per square centimeter, which he achieves using delicate instruments and, if necessary, lateral slit grafting, based on the Canadian model.

Dr. Lars Heitmann regularly participates in national and international conferences such as ISHRS.org, FUE-Europe.org, and others on the subject of hair transplantation. He is not only present as a participant, but also actively contributes to the further development and exchange of knowledge in the field of hair surgery.
